What we're about.

The Northern Kentucky Institute for Strategic Prevention is committed to providing schools across the region with the supports and services necessary to prevent and address the mental health and substance misuse challenges that students face. We offer a wide variety of educational supports and services to promote the health and wellbeing of the whole student, with a focus on e-cigarette and alcohol prevention.

But don’t take our word for it...

Here’s what some of our partners have to say:

“The NKISP an excellent, collaborative youth substance prevention partner. NKISP is raising awareness about local problems while assisting with local solutions such as: implementing evidence-based substance prevention curriculum to students K-12; hosting training for school staff; sharing strategies with other community coalition groups; and creating helpful tips and resources for parents. We appreciate NKISP’s leadership in our region and enjoy working together to support our youth to be healthy and strong from cradle to career.”
- Amy Cooley E3C Drug Free Coalition Coordinator, Erlanger-Elsmere Schools

Our work is funded by the Partnerships for Success Grant through the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). We operate as part of the Northern Kentucky Cooperative for Education Services.
